Life on the Home Front

The weather during the month of July is usually much hotter.This
year the garden was planted in hopes that we would not get snow in
June nor a late frost. Other than a few weeds, the tomatoes, peppers,
lettuce, cucumbers and many other vegetables are growing. The kids
have something to do besides sports camps and riding bicycles.This
is Red, White & Blue month as it is the month to celebrate our freedom and what so many have valiantly fought for and sacrificed. We will be having lots of of booms and firecrackers as long as weather is permitting.
Happy 4th of July!
Happy Anniversary & Birthday to Mr & Mrs. JR
This year, Mr. JR turns 50 years old on the infamous date of July 9th. Remember, I haven't aged since 39 and will forever be young
at heart. We are looking forward to having a celebration of family and friends before going on vacation.
LAND OF LIBERTY
I love my country's pine-clad hills,
Her thousand bright and gushing rills,
Her sunshine and her storms;
Her rough and rugged rocks, that rear
Their hoary heads high in the air
In wild, fantastic forms.
I love her rivers, deep and wide,
Those mighty streams that seaward glide
To seek the ocean's breast;
Her smiling fields, her pleasant vales,
Her shady dells, her flow'ry dales,
The haunts of peaceful rest.
I love her forests, dark and lone,
For there the wild bird's merry tone
I hear from morn till night;
And there are lovelier flowers, I ween,
Than e'er in Eastern lands were seen,
In varied colors bright.
Her forests and her valleys fair,
Her flowers that scent the morning air--
All have their charms for me;
But more I love my country's name,
Those words that echo deathless fame,
"The Land of Liberty."

Stars & Bars
Stars are an integral part of the estate of which it was named.
A star can be seen from any where on the estate in some form.
The estate is named after the Stars & Bars flag which flew
when Lincoln was in office in 1865.

Please Pray for our Troops!
