                        WELCOME TO GRIZ COUNTRY!

Life on the Home Front

While most of the country is hot, the weather remains gorgeous in Montana. The river has been full of fish and the kids have spent most of the summer fishing and swimming. The yard work and garden took a back seat this year, but the place remains a natural beauty.

School starts back up in a few weeks and it couldn't be soon enough.

The kids are anxious to get back to the school routine and see their friends.

                   JACK, JAKE & JASON

The kids are back fishing and swimming on the Bitterroot River. It reminds me of my youthful days or Tom Sawyer days where we were just living the American Dream by being a kid and being entertained with our active imagination.

                   Good Luck on the River!

LOVE IS? - Wrote this poem a couple of years ago one evening.

"Live life with no regrets, there is no replay button and you can't relive yesterday. Sometimes, you just don't realize what you have until it is no longer within reach."

Remember Sister Bridget Smith - 92 yrs - Wichita, Kanasa

Passed away this month, oldest sister with 75 yrs. in the Convent. The youngest sibling and last of the last generation to pass on my grandmother Teresa Smith's branch. I remember traveling to Wichita, KS with her to the convent and remember the pipe organ in the church with the song "HE" playing.

HISTORY OF STARS & BARS FLAG

The first official flag of the Confederacy, called the "Stars and Bars," was flown from March 5, 1861, to May 26, 1863.

It is customary in the South to name your plantation estate. In honor of my brother and a flag that is part of my collection and love for stars, I chose

Stars & Bars which is fitting for the theme.
