Hunting Season Update:

Grand Elk

Elk out range, lots of them, just migrated to protected lands.

Mighty Moose Hunter

With his rump on a stump

and is his feet to the fire,

He drames of a moose

with antlers like a liar,

Dreaming while hunting-

is a very bad habit,

you usually end up

with a snowshoe rabbit.

Red Stag - 19 Points

Congrats - John Pickering, Jr.

Boys go to Gibson Reservoir, North of Augusta, Montana

This trip began early Saturday morning. They saw over 1000 Elk on private protected forest

land and nearly 100 ram sheep. They did not have a tag to shoot the ram, but they were

within distance. Next year, they plan on getting a ram tag. The Elk in site, but protected

was one of the most breath taking sites and to see so many. They have plans to return

next year and get one of these most elusive trophy elk.

Boys went to Creamer Ranch in Melville, Montana

Ironically, the pasture land next to Creamer's Ranch burned November 13th and 14th.

Their ranch was spared, there were 80 and 90 mph winds and several houses and

outbuildings were destroyed by fire.

Thanks to George Creamer and Dr. Don Gill for taking Jason hunting. It was the highlight of

his year and he will always remember getting his first white tail and first buck. THANK YOU!

Still trying to get an ELK, saw a herd of 20 on the Blue Mountain.

This is Jason's first white tail deer - one shot, one kill.

This is Jason's second white tail, a three to four hundred yard shot.

Jason's first antelope head shot, where he is pointing is where the bullet exited his jaw.

Jason with the large buck. We will keep the antlers from this buck for a souvenier.
